David's Skins

You have found the official web site for David Skin!

Providing tranquility in the chaos!

What is this?
It is an interface for @soft's MPEG Layer 3 audio player: MacAmp (now called MacAST), which allows you to customize the appearance & interface. David Skin was designed for MacAMP 1.0 Beta7. As a free bonus, I also designed a MacAMP Lite skin called David Skin 1.2 Lite. It is free ware -no strings attached. Just remember to give credit where credit is due. Macamp 1.0 has come out, I have the option to make a new skin for it based on the same scheme. The problem is that I have to wrestle with the new interface controls and it's constraints have not inspired me to update my skin. If you want to see a new David Skin, email me and let me know, or it isn't likely to happen soon.

Who made it?
I did, of course. By the way, I'm looking for a computer graphics or interface career for summer 2000. If you have any opportunities for me, my resume is online. In addition I can do small jobs by the hour.

When was it made?
Well I started Version .9 during my summer vacation and released it September 3rd, 1998. Version 1.2 took 3 or 4 days to redesign, it was released April 9th, 1999.

How does it look?
A well organized custom layout and professional graphics provide great utility with awesome asthetics. Enough hype. Here's a screen shot, judge for yourself (remember that color depth will vary):
